Supported Playgroups provide a structured and positive learning environment in which children can socialise, play and learn and are a great way for parents to meet and share their experiences. Every supported playgroup is facilitated by trained early childhood and family support workers. The team can refer and link families to health and community services. We offer professional help and often partner with specialist services to give appropriate support.
Our Family Workersprovide a variety of support to familieswith child/children between the ages of 0 and 8 years so they can build better futures for their children by conducting comprehensive assessments to help families identify their immediate needs and then support them through a case management process.
We also support parents/carers with information and referral, access to support groups and assist families to create open pathways to other services in the community. To strengthen the family links to community through warm referrals where emerging issues are identified such as Domestic and Family Violence, Child Developmental Diagnosis, Homelessness and disadvantage communities
We can also provide a home or outreach visiting service forchildren and family members to provide the best possible support for their children. Families can self-refer or a professional or family member make the referral on their behalf. Referrals can be made by contacting the service on 9599 7821.
